Brad Turcotte

I'm Brad Turcotte, head of International for Big Machine Label Group.

Brad oversees International Marketing for the Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) in over 50 countries. Since joining BMLG in 2010, Turcotte has traveled over 300,000 miles supporting BMLG’s roster, including Taylor Swift’s global launch of her multi-platinum albums Speak Now and Speak Now World Tour Live, and managing marketing efforts for the ex-US dates of Taylor’s world tour, which started in Singapore in 2011. Earlier this year, Turcotte oversaw the release of The Band Perry's debut album with Mercury UK. Prior to joining BMLG, Turcotte served as an EVP at Music World (MW), the former management/production company representing Beyonce and Destiny’s Child. MW’s label included co-ventures with Columbia, Epic, Interscope, Zomba, and Island Def Jam, as well as 60 catalog records. Turcotte oversaw all label operations, including five imprints (Compadre, Spirit Rising, MW Kids, Hits Revealed). Highlights at MW included negotiating strategic partnerships with Disney, Vans, Essence magazine, Microsoft Xbox/Lips (partial list), and was an integral part of the music marketing efforts for Beyonce’s fashion line, Dereon, and MWE’s toy company, MW Kids, distributed by Wal-Mart. Turcotte joined MW after selling his record label, Compadre, to Mathew Knowles in Feb 2007. Turcotte started Compadre in 2001 as a law student in Houston. Compadre released 30 albums in five years by Hayes Carll, Billy Joe Shaver, Townes Van Zandt, Flaco Jimenez, James McMurtry, Johnny Cash, and Suzy Bogguss (partial list). Compadre’s albums have appeared on 14 Billboard charts and are distributed in over 15 countries.

Also, Turcotte managed Shaver and Rick Trevino. Turcotte helped Shaver reorganize his 40-year-old publishing catalog and solicited it for acquisition.

Turcotte is a graduate of Belmont University and is a member of the ACM, CMA, LARAS, CCMA, and a two-term Governor on the NARAS Texas Chapter Board of Governors.
